Loew's Atlanta, creators of our water-smart garden, have returned to Compton. Volunteers freshened the beds with new bark, added fall plantings such as mums, greens, and shrubs, and gave our gardens a fresh new look. Butterflies were evident immediately after these new plants were placed in the ground. Volunteers also stained the arbor and benches, cleaned, weeded, and watered. We are proud of our Lowe's friends and the many beautiful touches they have added to our campus.

Thanks to Waffle House in Powder Springs, Compton has had a wonderful menu for our three special breakfasts in honor of Grandparents, Dads, and Moms this year! Waffle House has donated hundreds of sausage biscuits and gravy, as well as coupon books used for our fundraisers for the 5th grade trip. Their generosity is most appreciated. Please show your support for Waffle House by patronizing their restaurant in Powder Springs across from La  Parilla. Thank you, Waffle House!IMG_0221

This year, Engage Atlanta donated time, resources and manpower to beautifying our campus. Engage Atlanta painted, decorated, planted, and cleaned up our school, inside and out. Our walls received a fresh coat of paint. The halls were decorated with inspriational quotations, the furniture received new upholstery, and photos of the children were framed and placed around the building. Thank you, Engage Atlanta!

Thanks to the Powder Springs Lion's Club, we have a new state flag and a new American flag flying over our school. In a dedication ceremony this AM, representatives from the Lion's Club were greeted by the Student Council officers, the chorus, and our administrators, Liz Murphy, Principal, and Kristen Beaudin, Assistant Principal. Thank you, Lions!
