Alice in Wonderland Update

The shows are rapidly approaching! We are very excited about the next month as we prepare for our performances on Friday, March 11 at 7 PM and Saturday, March 12 a 3 PM. Because we will be selling concessions during intermission of both performances, we need parent volunteers. If you would like to help, please let the front office know. We appreciate your support.

Costumes:

Major costumes will be provided for all cast members. However, we do need to request the following items to be worn for all performances:

ALL CREW:

Alice t-shirt

Black pants

Black shoes

ALL CAST:

form-fitted shirt and shorts to make costume changes easy

EXTRA FLOWERS:

white t-shirt

ROYAL CARDSMEN:

Alice shirt

Black pants

Black shoes

UNBIRTHDAY PARTIERS:

everyday shorts and t-shirt (mismatched)

CAST IN OPENING SCENE:

everyday shorts and t-shirt (an outfit that would be worn to school on a nice, spring day)

Dear Parents:

We are also beginning to accept payments and submissions for our Cast Blogs. Cast Blogs are short, congratulatory notes that you can purchase for your child. The blogs will appear in the Alice, Jr. playbill the night of the performance. Many people have their family and friends support blogs as well.

Here is an example of some blogs:

The blogs are sold as part of our fundraising efforts. The prices for the blogs are as follows:

1/4 page-$10

1/2 page-$20

Full page-$30

Please submit all blogs with payment to Mr. Cappucci.

Tickets for all Compton Players and Compton Staff will be sold by advance order on a first-come, first-served basis until Tuesday, March 1. After March 1st, tickets will go on sale to the ENTIRE Compton student body and the general public. The tickets do not have assigned seating. You may begin to arrive at 6:15 PM on March 11 and/or 2:15 PM on March 12 to secure where you would like to sit. Due to the anticipated high volume of ticket demand, it is strongly suggested that you purchase your tickets in advance to secure your desired number of seats. WE thank you for your understanding.

All checks for ticket purchases should be made out to Compton Elementary School with "Alice in Wonderland" in the memo line.

Please hand-deliver your ticket order and payment to Mr. Cappucci. Once payment is received, your child will receive his/her tickets or you may personally pick them up from Mr. Cappucci.

Dr. Seuss's birthday is March 2nd! To celebrate, we are selling Dr. Seuss hats for $3.00 each. Students who purchase a hat will wear their hats to school on March 2nd and will get to participate in a "hat parade" along with other special activities. All profits will go towards our Alice in Wonderland production. Thanks for your support.

Compton Players Perform for Compton Students

The Compton Players performed an encore production of Annie, Jr. for the K-2 classes on Tuesday, May 11 at 1 PM and on Thursday, May 13 at 1 PM for the 3-5th classes in the cafeteria. Congratulations for an outstanding production, cast and crew!
